La Hougue Bie will be transformed into a theatre for fabulous stories and fantastic storytellers. Hear tales being told and sagas being sung. English Civil War
Elizabeth Castle
Elizabeth Castle has been seized by the New Model Army. Cromwell’s men will be demonstrating the weapons and armour of the 17th century, from the polearm to the cannon. In the days leading up to the event, they will be ‘billeted’ at Hamptonne, showing how soldiers and their families lived in England and the similarities with the island.

A traditional event where Jersey’s rich heritage of apple growing and cider making is celebrated and all ages will find lots to see, do, learn and enjoy. Magnificent sights – a horse crushing the apples, then the juice extracted on the twin-screw press – plus apple-themed games, entertainment, quizzes, arts and crafts and of course ciders to taste.
