Hire All our sites have something to offer the film-maker, conference organiser or individual wanting a venue for that special occasion. Mont Orgueil Castle, for example, is equally suited to recreating the past, enjoying the present or celebrating the future. The crypt in the middle ward is the perfect setting for a small reception, while the medieval Great Hall can seat around 50. But perhaps the most popular private use of the castle is for evening parties with a marquee on the lower keep affording views of the harbour below and across that narrow channel of water to France. Elizabeth Castle is a much bigger site than you first imagine. A fitting venue for anything from a major Shakespearean production to a children's party and a wedding to a week long stay in the holiday apartment. Take the Governor's House once inhabited in by Raleigh, for example - where better for that extra-special Board Meeting - to be followed by drinks on the battlements. There's plenty of inside accommodation around the Parade Ground ... perhaps for seminars ... and of course the really large parties can be accommodated in marquees on Castle Green - where you can dance the night away without disturbing the neighbours. If, however, it's a peaceful setting that you are after, where better than a place that has had spiritual significance for some five and a half thousand years. La Hougue Bie is a place of birdsong and green grass - perfect for gentle pleasures such as an early-evening barbecue or a quiet wedding reception. There is a timeless quality about that other rural heritage site - Hamptonne . If it's a seminar or Board room you want, then the Joan Stevens Room, above the old Cider House, where every autumn the apple crusher and cider press are put to good use, is ideal - taking up to twenty delegates. Or, for that big dinner or barbecue, there's a flat area at the top of the meadow, that can take a sizeable marquee for up to 150 people The beautifully designed Jersey Archive, opened in 2000, is the ideal venue for a conference or workshop as it is located in a quiet part of St Helier. The conference room, known as the Rose Room, is situated towards the of the building. The room is bright, offering natural sunlight, air-conditioning, a range of Audio Visual equipment, blackout, kitchen and toilet facilities. There are also facilities for wheelchair users. The Interactive Globe Room at the award winning Maritime Museum is a fascinating space available for hire. Impress your clients with this unique venue for a champagne reception and it is possible to erect a marquee on the quay outside (following permission from the Harbour Office) and for guests to have access to the museum. And so to the flagship of the Jersey Heritage Trust - the Jersey Museum Here you can make use of the audio visual theatre which seats 55 people or you can hold a Vin d'Honour or party for up to 150 people in the museum concourse. That is perhaps after a day's work in the Ouless Room which seats 18 delegates in classroom style, 26 people boardroom style and up to 65 theatre style. To augment our facilities we also have a range of additional activities to offer at each of our sites when the site is closed to the public.
