The Governor's House was built in the 1590s, and was where Charles II lived during his short stay in the 1640s. This beautiful building is ideal for pre-dinner drinks or for a intimate wedding reception or corporate dinner. The house boasts a beautiful granite fireplace and wooden floor, giving it a tranquil ambience. A lean-to marquee can be erected, allowing room for dancing. In order create a unique experience for you and your guests we can arrange a guided tour of Elizabeth Castle. Alternatively Gunner Graves the Castles drill sergeant or one of his NCOs, can muster your guests or his 'new recruits' in the main parade ground or meet them from the DUKW, after some stern 'training', march them across the drawbridge to one of the Castles main cannons. Your guests will hear about the history of the Battle of Jersey, with the climax of the tour being the firing of the cannon. Tariffs: Marquee
on the green Please note that due to the unique location of the castle, access can be dependant on the tide and weather. The Castle Ferry run by Pure Adventure can operate at all times except when the tide is high and the wind is strong creating a rough sea or during hours of darkness. Please take advice from our staff when booking your function. Tour Gunner Graves The Castle's
Drill Sergeant who will muster his 'recruits' in the main parade ground
and after some stern 'training' will march them across the drawbridge
to one of the Castle's main cannon. Hear about the history of the Battle
of Jersey from a first hand witness. This event draws to a close with
the firing of the cannon. Further soldiers are available for 18th century
musket demonstrations and to escort guests around the Castle. Fanfare
