Sites

There is something for everyone at the museums, historic sites and castles run by the Jersey Heritage Trust: exhibitions and events, talks and tours - and this part of the website introduces you to what is on offer. Jersey has a rich heritage and it is our task to take care for it and help you to get to know it. We believe that we have thought of everyone's needs - children, people with disabilities and those who speak different languages. Guide dogs are welcome to all our sites, but other dogs are not admitted.

Living History Programme

During the summer we have a regular programme of living history with characters from the past talking about their life and times. At Hamptonne Country Life Museum, you are able to talk with the goodwyf from the 1640s while over at Elizabeth Castle, Gunner Graves musters noon day parade daily. During August, those visiting the Merchant's House at the Jersey Museum can meet one of our Victorian characters who will be able to explain what life was like in 1862. And at Mont Orgueil there will be falconery, archery and storytelling.
