Access

You do not have to make an appointment to visit the Jersey Archive but you might find it useful to make contact with us before your visit so that we can help you make the most of your time here.

There is full disabled access.

Opening Hours: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 5pm Tuesday to Thursday. Last Thursday in the month (except December): 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm (last document production time 6.15pm).

The Archive is closed between 1pm and 2pm.

How to register as a reader

Please bring photographic ID, e.g. a passport or driving licence. Registering as a reader takes around 5 minutes and you will be issued with a Jersey Archive reader's ticket. It is with this ticket that you will be able to order documents. We regret that we are unable to order documents without a reader's ticket.

There is a five minute introductory video for all new readers to view before using the Jersey Archive which gives details of our procedures, regulations and guidance on handling archival material.
