Facilities
Parking is available in the public car park in farmland off La Route des Côtes du Nord. Access to the fort is via a steep path, which forms part of the Island’s coastal path network. The path peters out at the ‘moat’ and access to the fort is over a wooden bridge. There are substantial drops from the bridge leading from the cliff path to the fort, from the buildings within the fort and adjacent cliffs. Children must be supervised at all times.
The property can be secured when in use and a sign informing the public that the fort is occupied must be fixed across the bridge when the property is in use.
Smoking is prohibited within the buildings and smokers must extinguish cigarettes in the sand buckets provided.
Hirers are required to ensure that the fire and barbeque are extinguished and that all rubbish has been removed from the site at the end of the hire period. Rubbish must not be left in the car park.
