booking an educational group visit
General Information l Bookings l What can we do for you?
In order to make booking a visit to a museum, a castle or the Archives for schools simpler and more effective, all educational groups wishing to visit any of the Jersey Heritage Trust sites or the Jersey Archive must telephone (01534) 633339 or (01534) 633340 and leave a message on the answer-phone stating:-
- the name of the school/college
- the class
- the number of students and accompanying adults
- the site to be visited
- the date of the proposed visit
- the purpose of the visit
- the name of the teacher in charge of the visit
- if a member of the JHT education staff is required
- any other additional information
Alternatively, you can email this information to us at education@jerseyheritagetrust.org
Or, download and print our booking form by clicking here.
We will book your visit with the site staff and then confirm with you by telephone. This is not meant to introduce more bureaucracy to a class visit but it will mean that we can ensure that only one school party will be on one of our sites at any one time. Please do not ring a site directly, as our staff will only redirect you to the booking number.
Prior to your class visit we recommend that teachers make a preliminary visit to the site in order to familiarise themselves with any changes which may have occurred since their last visit. Preliminary visits are free and it will also give you the opportunity to speak to a member of the Education staff. |
