Edmund Blampied (1886-1966) was a much-loved local artist whose prints, drawings and etching are widely acclaimed. He was one of the twentieth century's wittiest illustrators but is perhaps best known locally for his perceptive images of island life.

A collection of hand written Christmas cards and letters from Edmund Blampied to a friend, which include sketches and poetry, is held at the Jersey Archive. A diverse collection of Blampied's work in all media including oils, watercolours, prints, drawings, book illustrations, cartoons and sculpture is held at the Jersey Museum.
