The Jersey Heritage Trust is part of Jersey's community and is here to serve that community. Our duty is to care for the island's culture and heritage and we aim to provide wide access to it, act as advocates on its behalf and bring imagination to telling its stories.

• We safeguard the future of the island's heritage by caring for its historic sites, commissioning works of art and acquiring objects and documents for the public collections. All local senior citizens and students have free admission into the heritage sites through the Gold Card and Flash Card schemes and all children under six years of age also have free entry.
• We go out into the community with many of our projects - such as Citibank Jersey 2000 and the Millennium Mosaic. We want to include the whole community in our work - for example we are planning a series of events specifically designed to tie in with the education of Jersey school children. We are pro-active - we led on celebrations for the most significant anniversary in Jersey's history - 800 years of loyalty to the English crown.
• We played a major role in Lib60.

Thanks to the Gold Card shceme, and the generous support and commitiment of the Channel Islands Co-Operative Sociey, Islanders of 60 years or older are eligible for free admission all JHT sites. Gold cards are available from all JHT sites on production of proof of age and residency.
